Robert Louis Stevenson’s Jekyll & Hyde Graphic T-Shirt is a gothic literature tee inspired by Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The artwork centres on a split Victorian portrait: one half controlled and respectable, the other half looking like the evening has gone badly and nobody should touch the bottle.

The design uses gothic book-poster styling, a potion bottle, London street details, a broken mirror, green chemical smoke and the quote “Man is not truly one, but truly two.” Cheerful little number, really.

The Design

This piece is built around the story’s central split: Dr Jekyll on one side, Mr Hyde on the other. The portrait is framed with Victorian horror details, smoky green accents, distressed typography and old-book texture to give it a classic literature feel without making it look like it belongs in a dusty school cupboard.

The dark version gives the artwork a heavier gothic finish, while the light colour versions use adjusted artwork so the fine line detail, red accents and green smoke still read clearly on lighter fabric.

Care Instructions

Wash inside out with similar colours. Use a cool wash to help preserve the print. Do not bleach. Do not iron directly over the print. Tumble dry low or hang dry where possible.
